Identification-
In some situations it is just not a good idea to
be without identification (ID). While on
ghost hunts often times you may be traipsing
around in the dark, looking mysterious and
possibly up-to no good to police.
The most widely respected form of identification
in the United States would be a
driver’s license. If
this option isn't available one could
try arming themselves with a pictured school ID
Various European Passports.
Another option if you're going somewhere public, during open hours contact the police before you go. Most of the time they will greatly appreciate the heads up. If or when they receive a concerned call from someone who saw you "lurking," they already have an informed response they can give the caller. least have a library card). Remember you
are the one that is most likely to be viewed as
lurking about in the shadows, in unusual out of
the way places and at strange times of night.
Criminals also do this (at least in cartoons).
We've always seen ourselves as ambassadors to
the paranormal sciences when in the field.
We have befriended many police officers and
authority figures that were first sent to learn
why we were, where we were. They are just
doing their job, politely explain that you are
also doing yours! Ghost hunting is a full
time job whether it is your only exclusive one
or not.
